L'Oréal Rouge Caresse in 'Aphrodite Scarlet'

Being new to the blogging community, I can hardly say I've been 'caught up in the hype' of this product, but after reading several reviews and watching a few vlogs, I have to admit that I actually have! So as soon as my student loan hit my bank account, I went in search of these lipsticks. I already had an idea of what colours I wanted to purchase- 'dating coral' and 'cheeky magenta', but dating coral was nowhere to be seen ANYWHERE, and I didn't think cheeky magenta would suit me very much. So, I opted for this beauty, 'aphrodite scarlet'.

Judging by the name, I'm guessing it's supposed to be a sort of red shade but from the bullet, it's much more of a pink. It's almost exactly the same as cheeky magenta, thinking about it. I don't really know why I preferred this one to be honest! But now that I have it, I think it's gorgeous. The formula is so moisturising, it's as if I'm just wearing a lip balm. Due to this fact however, I do find myself having to coat my lips a few times more throughout the day as the pigmentation obviously isn't very high, but that's to be expected.
From the picture, you can see it doesn't come out very bright against my pigmented lips which makes it perfect for everyday wear. I'm definitely going to purchasing a couple more- especially considering it's 2 for £14 on most L'Oréal products in Boots at the moment!

    1. if applied generously, they can last for a couple of hours. this being said, the moisture lasts for ages but the colour fades slightly over time. just keep applying :) they're so worth it! x
